Full of eclectic decor and vintage charm, this timeless styled session was held inside a beautiful warehouse, filled with authentic French wares. The entire session was documented beautifully on Kodak Portra Film, bringing out the most beautiful tones. Keep reading to hear more details on the vision for the shoot!
The shoot was a huge success and the team worked effortlessly together as captured by Alexei Malko Films who documented the day and created this BTS video below.
For this styled shoot, Brisbane’s Vielle Branch provided a wonderful backdrop with its European charm and olde world eclecticism. Furnished with rustic leather couches, French provincial shutters, antique tables and chairs (some quirkily suspended amidst industrial lighting), Vielle Branch is a dreamscape of vintage charm and mystique.
To capture the ethereal essence of the shoot, Casey chose to photograph entirely on film to stunning effect. The abundant natural light and rustic ambiance of the venue was complemented with a colour palette full of warm and rich tones: apricot, nudes, and burgundies which Cat Shipton pulled together beautifully with her perfectly styled blooms.
The sublime cake creations were the work of Marina Machado Cakes with their delicately hand-crafted rice paper flowers and exquisite South American lillies. The main cake also featured a stunning hand-painted floral motif by artist Janin Mayer.
Models Georgia and Maddison looked gorgeous in gowns by “When Freddie met Lilly” and David looked quite the image of sartorial sophistication in a bespoke piece by Wil Valor.
